The
Casio AP220 Celviano Digital Piano is the answer to my prayers. It has offered my family the opportunity to allow my children to learn to play piano with grand sound without a grand price!
The Casio AP220 Celviano Digital Piano takes up less space than a traditional piano, and it is very affordable, even on the tight budget for my family of five.
All three children, who are at varying ability levels of are able to easily use the digital piano. Better yet, instead of paying high gas prices to run three children to varying piano class schedules, we let the piano teacher come to our home.
Before we purchased our Casio AP220 Celviano Digital Piano, we asked for the advice of our children’s piano instructor.
He assured us that this particular digital piano will allow the beginning piano student to easily develop a good sense of “touch” while playing; even better than the touch developed if playing on an old acoustic piano. The piano teacher explained that this is because the Casio AP 220 has weighted keys, just like a real piano; but it also offers three touch sensitivity levels, which can be adjusted as piano playing skills mature.
This sensitivity adjustment can also aid the more advanced piano student. More developed piano students can often better refine their “touch” on a digital piano and develop better response and musical quality.
This digital piano also features another important tool – a built in metronome. It makes it very easy for the piano student to develop timing while playing piano. The metronome counts beats which is especially helpful for beginning piano students.
The piano teacher also loves the built in recording feature. This feature allows the student to record her own playing, and then play it back and listen for her own mistakes. This feature was especially helpful for my daughter, who often couldn’t hear her own wrong notes!
The recording feature is also used by the piano teacher – he plays songs for the children to listen to how the music should sound. This helps keep them on track and is like having the piano teacher there with them every day! If they are not sure what they should do, I remind them to go listen to the piano teacher’s recording of whatever piece they are working on. That always does seem to help them out.
Casio AP220 is the perfect children’s practice piano
Another observation by the children’s piano teacher is this: Children who practice playing the piano more will become better piano players. The Casio AP 220 Celviano Digital Piano makes playing the piano fun for the piano student, and therefore fosters a love for practicing the piano.
Since we purchased the Casio AP 220 Celviano Digital Piano, piano practice is no longer a chore. It is with joy and pride that I watch my children argue over who gets to practice the piano first!
